On invitation, Ma Xinling—master of straw sandals weaving, Chen Yaowu—master of Shaanxi opera facial makeup making, Miao Chunsheng—master of clay sculpture of the Central Shaanxi Plain style, Yang Yunfeng—Yuhua clay whistle, Wang Ningxiao—maser of Lantian-style paper cutting, Jiang Guoxing—master of Lantian-style clay sculpture, Zhang Yalan—master of Lantian-style embroidery and other provincial and city-level intangible cultural heritage protection items and representative inheritors pass on intangible cultural heritage by exhibitiing intangible cultural heritage items. Jiaodai Town, as a habitat for ancient humans, was capitals for more than 10 dynasties and a vital north-south transportation hub in ancient China, where there were many ancient sites and rich cultural relics.

The promotion of intangible cultural heritage protection knowledge plays a very important role in carrying forward national long-standing history, spreading brilliant culture, carrying out education on patriotism and revolutionary tradition. It is designed to let more people know intangible cultural heritage, feel the traditional folk culture and the history, and look to the future.

“Introducing intangible cultural heritage protection to grass roots”, a cultural activity developed by Xi’an Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center over the years, has acquired good social benefits and has laid a sound foundation for intangible cultural heritage protection in Xi’an. In recent years,  intangible cultural heritage exhibitions and intangible cultural heritage knowledge propaganda lectures have been carried out in nearly 100 communities, schools and towns, so that a large batch of inheritors can pass on intangible cultural heritage in practice and that the masses can have a new understanding of intangible cultural heritage and strengthen their consciousness of participation in protection.
