Urumqi, the capital of the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, was honored as one of the top 10 happiest cities in China at an award ceremony organized by China Central Television on Feb 23.

Also making the list of honors were the cities of Changsha, Wuhan, Zhengzhou, Lanzhou, Hohhot, Shijiazhuang, Nanjing, Hefei and Nanning.
