The Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region will host the Third Silk Road Cultural Innovative Industries Expo from Nov 5 to 8.

The expo will be held at the Xinjiang International Convention and Exhibition Center in Urumqi under the theme “Silk Road Center, Innovative Xinjiang”. 590 stands will be set up in nine exhibition areas on 12,230 square meters. Approximately 200 enterprises have applied to exhibit their products. Items exhibited will cover art, IT, modern media and tourism products.

The focus of the expo is to display the integration of culture and innovation with technology, tourism, and sports products.

Key importance will be placed on the creative industry at this year’s exhibition. Organizers have set up a center to allow innovative items produced by college students to be displayed to the public for the first time.

Local resources will also be highlighted at the expo. Eighteen stands displaying the latest products from the Xinjiang textile and clothing industries will be set up and local catering and tourism enterprises will participate.
