Gansu Nurses' Innovations Benefit Patients in China
Nurses from the Gansu Provincial Maternity and Child-care Hospital exhibited handcrafts on May 12 to celebrate the International Nurses Day. The handcrafts, which the nurses called "innovations", were made to better serve the patients.
Around 30 articles were presented at the hospital, including a health education clock, a pair of underpants that can be worn while applying medical ointment on the skin and a hat specifically designed for children to reduce fever.
Several nurses from nursing center said that they were encouraged by the hospital to produce health-care articles designed to improve work efficiency and help patients to recover. Many of the "innovations" exhibited have already been accepted by patients.
