The International Trade and Logistics Park in Xi’an city, Shaanxi province, will hold the Fourth International Wine Festival on May 30.

The festival is expected to provide an increased amount of business opportunities for enterprises and give customers wine culture and wine selection knowledge.

In addition to wine chateaus and associations from France, Italy, Spain and Germany that have previously attended the festival, chateaus from Canada and Switzerland have been invited to this year’s event. Gernot Haack, CEO of Switzerland’s Mövenpick Group, has decided to attend the festival with his team to look for further cooperation deals.

Thanks to China’s preferential policies on food imports, the International Trade and Logistics Park has set up an imported wine site based on its bonded zone, highway port and railway container center. The site makes it possible for wines to be transported to Xi’an directly from their native counties. This reduces costs for enterprises and results in lower priced imported wines for locals.
