China Shaanxi to Deepen Modern Fruit Cooperation with Australia
The Provincial Development and Reform Commission of Shaanxi, Provincial Agriculture Department, Office of Foreign Affairs of Shaanxi, Xi'an Customs, Shaanxi Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, Xi'an International Trade and Logistics Park and Shaanxi Provincial Fruit Bureau, together with 4 universities and colleges like Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University, heads of seven fruit producers including Shaanxi Haisheng Fruit Industry Development Co., Ltd., and directors of five fruit bureaus at County-Level including Luochuan, Baishui and Fuping, took in-depth discussions in cooperation in order to fulfill the MOU on Modern Fruit Cooperation between Shaanxi and Tasmania signed by Shaanxi Governor Lou Qinjian and Tasmania Governor Hodgman, and decided to take cooperation in seven sectors with Tasmania.
Firstly, Shaanxi will invite officials of Tasmania, experts in fruit production and marketing and leaders of import and export companies and industrial associations to attend the 19th ITFCEW & Silk Road Expo and hold the first China Fruit Brand Fair simultaneously to discuss brand building and promote the fruit trade, secondly, during the 19th ITFCEW & Silk Road Expo, Shaanxi will hold the symposium in fruit exchanges and cooperation between the two sides to determine the cooperation objectives, thirdly, Shaanxi will invite Tasmania to attend the 22nd Yangling CAF, 8th Luochuan International Apple Fair and 4th International Kiwi Fruit Expo in Mei County, fourthly, Shaanxi will organize a delegation to visit Tasmania to make inspection in agricultural and fruit varieties, plant, processing, trade, scientific technology and training and establish the cooperation mechanism, fifthly, Shaanxi will establish Shaanxi-Tasmania international apple park and strive to create the new highland in apple planting, sixthly, Shaanxi will build an international college in fruit based on Luochuan Apple College with the cooperation with Tasmania, seventhly, Shaanxi will organize domestic farmers to learn skills by means of labor export and invite farmers from Tasmania to carry up exchanges with the province.
