The cultural center in Huocheng county in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, held the activity to hand out couplets for the Spring Festival. The event was held in Qingshui district on Feb 15 to celebrate the festival.

Calligraphers from the Huocheng county's association of painting and calligraphy wrote around one hundred couplets for residents present at the event.

Residents who received couplets expressed their appreciation, welcoming more activities of the kind in future. Several calligraphers said that they were glad to play to their strengths and send their best wishes to locals through the couplets.
