Intl Makers Festival Held in Xi'an
The 2017 China Xi'an International Makers Festival opened at Xi'an Jiaotong University on June 8.
The festival attracted more than 40 international and domestic teams to share their creative products and entrepreneurial experiences.
An innovation exhibition displaying 3D printing, DIY light, interactive lighting sets and virtual photography has proved to be the highlight of the event.
A series of activities are also organized during the festival, including an International Makers Summit, a technology experience center, creative market, makers workshop and entrepreneurship policy exhibition.
The festival will continue until June 14, before moving on to hold exhibitions at three other universities across Xi'an—Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xidian University and Xi'an University of Technology.
Li Ningjun, director of the Xi'an Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, said that this year's makers festival will inspire new graduates and students to explore entrepreneurship and stay in Xi’an for jobs or investments in the city.
