Representatives from the Chinese market department of UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) in eastern England visited the Xi’an Trade and Logistics Park (ITL) in Northwest China’s Shaanxi province on March 14, itl.gov.cn reported.

ITL management committee’s Deputy Director Li Pingwei received the delegation and accompanied them on visits to some key projects at the park, including Xi’an South China City, Midwest Commodity Trading Center, the Comprehensive Bonded Zone and the Xi’an Railway Container Center Station.

After the visit, the group attended a forum to learn about the operation and planning of ITL. Li said the park boasts an advantageous geographic location and advanced transportation, and it has become a crucial trade center in the Silk Road economic belt after years of development.

He said he hopes the enterprise members of UKTI can make full use of the trade platform of ITL and join in the construction of the park.

Yang Zhengming, general manager of the Chinese market department who led the visiting group, said the fast development pace and advanced planning concept make ITL one of the most valuable investment areas in Northwest China.

The visit was a good start, and there will be more exchanges and cooperation, Yang added.
